Andre (aka Pink Nose Smith) the Cat needs a home
I have had a tough start to life. For at least four years, I was outside fending for myself (see the picture of me outside) with no human contact until PAWS was finally able to trap me (I managed to elude them for years- I did not want to go in that scary trap)! I was not really sure what to think of humans for several months in my foster home. Once I finally learned that they meant no harm, I have really learned what love is and I am now truly a sweet, affectionate lap cat! Being an indoor kitty has been pretty awesome! I soak up love, attention and play with my foster parents! I love to be pet, played with, cuddled and rubbed. But, I am still a bit afraid when my foster mom tries to pick me up. Due to all the time I spent fending for myself outside instead of learning the proper kitty habits, I am best suited for an adult only household. I don't do anything bad, just use my paws when I want more attention, which may be too much for small children.
As far as other kitties... if you have an easy going, cat friendly cat, I could probably learn to live with them, but I find dogs to be a bit of a nuisance!! I put up with the two in my foster home, but will put them in their place when they get too close. They learned pretty quick!!
I am FIV+ but this should not scare you off... this just means you need to be a very conscientious pet owner that is willing to take me into the vet when and if I have any signs of sickness due to my immune system being suppressed. For more information on FIV, ask your vet or a PAWS representative. I really am worth it!
